Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan has ordered the development of a comprehensive gas load management plan to prepare for the upcoming winter season, recognizing current regional challenges. The plan will prioritize uninterrupted gas imports and ensure domestic consumers receive locally produced gas. Power generation and industries will be supplied with Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG). A public awareness campaign will promote alternative energy sources for household use to reduce reliance on locally supplied gas. The government is also focused on ensuring seamless gas transmission from reserves in the northern regions of Pakistan and considering financial facilities for electric heating appliances. The meeting in Islamabad included key ministers and government officials to discuss and finalize the winter preparation strategy.
