Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan is facilitating the return of 30 Iranian nationals. This group includes eight fishermen rescued by the British vessel MMA Valour and 22 crew members from the vessel Lenore/Davina. The latter vessel, a sanctioned oil tanker, was recently interdicted by United States authorities in the Indian Ocean. All individuals are expected to transit through Karachi in the coming days. Pakistan is coordinating closely with authorities from Iran, the US, and the UK to ensure a safe return. This move aligns with Pakistan's commitment to humanitarian cooperation and its role as a mediator between the US and Iran. The Foreign Office described such transfers as essential confidence-building measures.
