Pakistan’s men’s volleyball team delivered a dominant 3-0 victory over India in the quarter-final of the Asian Games, securing their place in the semi-finals. The match, held at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium, saw Pakistan win with scores of 25-19, 25-23, and 25-18. Murad Khan led Pakistan’s charge with an impressive 22 points, supported by Usman Faryad Ali with nine and Mohammad Hamad with eight. Despite India’s undefeated run through the pool stage, including wins against Vietnam and Hong Kong, they were unable to overcome Pakistan's strong performance. Pakistan had previously defeated Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, with a loss to Japan in their final pool match. The second set proved pivotal, with a hard-fought comeback by Pakistan ultimately shifting the momentum in their favor.
