Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecast another spell of monsoon rains to impact the upper and central regions of the country from August 13th to 15th. The rains are expected to begin with currents penetrating the upper areas and a westerly wave. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are anticipated to experience widespread rainfall, as will numerous districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Sindh are also under a rainfall forecast, though Sindh will largely remain hot and humid. The Met Office has issued warnings about potential urban flooding in low-lying areas of major cities and the possibility of landslides due to the expected heavy rainfall. Citizens in affected regions are advised to take necessary precautions.
