After a 140-year wait, Ostrava Cathedral of the Divine Saviour is set to receive a new, state-of-the-art organ. The new instrument will be the largest in the Moravian-Silesian region and is expected to be operational this year. Components of the organ, including bellows and pipes, are currently being delivered to the cathedral by the Dlabal-Mettler organ workshop from Bílá. This marks a significant moment for the cathedral, enhancing its musical capabilities and historical significance. The installation process has begun, bringing the long-awaited instrument closer to completion. The arrival of the organ promises a richer auditory experience for worshippers and concert attendees alike. This represents a major cultural investment for the city of Ostrava.
