The 14-day emergency status declared by the West Manggarai Regent in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province following the earthquake has officially ended. The decision, formalized in decree number 229/KEP/HK/2026, marks a transition to long-term recovery efforts. Despite the end of the emergency period, aid organizations are continuing to assist those affected. Muhammadiyah’s Emergency Medical Team (EMT) has already provided assistance to 2,222 survivors of the earthquake. This indicates a sustained need for support even as the immediate crisis phase concludes. The focus is now shifting towards rehabilitation and rebuilding communities impacted by the natural disaster. Further details regarding the ongoing assistance programs are expected to be released soon.
