The Norwegian Labour Youth League (AUF) has reported threats made against its leader, Gaute Skjervø, after his public criticism of the website Document. Skjervø sparked controversy during the Arendalsuka political festival by calling Document's membership in the Norwegian Editors’ Association and receipt of press subsidies a “scandal.” Following his statements, AUF began documenting and reporting threats received by Skjervø. According to AUF General Secretary Jan Halvor Vaag Endrerud, multiple instances of threatening communication have been forwarded to the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) for evaluation and potential prosecution. The reports are ongoing, with the latest submission sent today. This incident raises concerns about the escalating tensions surrounding political discourse and online harassment in Norway. The AUF is taking a firm stance against intimidation and seeking protection for its leadership.
