Princess Ingrid Alexandra visited Hudøy, a historic summer camp in Færder, operated by the Church City Mission on behalf of Oslo municipality. The camp has provided a vacation destination for children since 1916, fostering community and friendship. Children from across Oslo reside at Hudøy during the summer, experiencing a traditional camp environment with shared dormitories and limited technology. The Church City Mission emphasizes the camp’s role in creating shared experiences for children regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. According to General Secretary Adelheid Firing Hvambsal, Hudøy summer camp builds connections and lasting memories. The Princess arrived via the ferry “Ternen” to observe the camp’s operations and meet with the children.
