Mediation between the Norwegian Nurses’ Association (NSF) and the employers’ organization NHO Geneo is continuing past the deadline. State Mediator Mats Ruland confirmed to NRK that talks are ongoing. The initial mediation deadline expired at midnight, raising the possibility of industrial action. If an agreement isn’t reached, 133 nurses are scheduled to strike on Wednesday. The nurses potentially affected by the strike work in private healthcare services in Oslo, Bergen, Moelv and Lillehammer, according to Sykepleien. The outcome of the mediation will determine whether this strike proceeds, potentially impacting healthcare provisions in those cities.
