The train drivers’ union (Lokførerforbundet) and Spekter have reached an agreement on this year’s wage settlement, bringing an end to the nearly month-long train strike in Norway. The parties were compelled to engage in mandatory mediation, beginning negotiations with the Riksmekleren (National Mediator) on Friday at 10:00. Throughout the process, both sides worked to resolve the dispute. The announcement of the strike's conclusion came late Saturday night. This resolution averts further disruption to rail services across Norway. The agreement will now allow train services to return to normal operations following a period of significant travel challenges for commuters and businesses. Details of the agreement have not yet been fully disclosed.
