Authorities have uncovered several family networks exploiting loopholes to gain residency through false information. These four largest networks involve between 20 and 50 individuals. Despite existing robust control measures, organized fraud remains a significant challenge. The ministry and agencies like the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and the police are actively collaborating on new measures. These potential actions include revising police control regulations and scrutinizing international money transfers to identify and prevent further abuse of the immigration system. The government emphasizes its commitment to maintaining control and upholding the integrity of its immigration processes.
