Norway is providing Ukraine with 900 million Norwegian kroner (approximately $83 million USD) in additional energy assistance. The funds, announced by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, will be allocated to both repairing existing energy infrastructure damaged by conflict and investing in new energy solutions. This aid package aims to ensure continued electricity supply for Ukrainian citizens and bolster the country’s energy system against future attacks. The investment focuses on increasing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy grid. Norway has been a significant supporter of Ukraine since the start of the war, and this latest contribution underscores its commitment to the country’s long-term stability. The support is intended to help Ukraine navigate the upcoming winter months and beyond. This funding builds upon previous aid provided by Norway to support Ukraine’s energy sector.
