Franjo Ljubić, a 90-year-old resident of Beli Manastir, Croatia, has successfully renewed his driver’s license for another two years. Despite not currently owning a car, Ljubić opted to renew the license, stating he did so “just in case.” He has been a cyclist for 70 years, using a bicycle as his primary mode of transportation. Local authorities approved the renewal following standard procedures and medical evaluations. The reason for maintaining the license, despite his age and lack of a vehicle, remains a personal one. This case highlights the individual choices regarding personal freedoms and responsibilities at an advanced age.
