The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria has conducted widespread drug raids resulting in multiple arrests and significant seizures of illicit narcotics. A 41-year-old businessman residing in São Paulo, Brazil, Abugu Ikechukwu, was among those apprehended. The NDLEA did not disclose specific details regarding the types or quantities of drugs recovered, nor the locations of all the raids beyond stating they occurred “across different parts of the country.” Agency spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed the operations and the arrest of the Brazilian national, as well as other unnamed suspects. Further information regarding the ongoing investigation and potential charges has not yet been released. The NDLEA continues to target drug trafficking networks both domestically and internationally.
