A new book, “Decrees and Official Documents of the Golden Horde,” was presented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commemorating the 820th anniversary of the Great Mongol State. Authored by Turkish scholars Özyetgin Ayşe Melek and Elias Kemaloglu, and translated into Mongolian by Consul General D. Ankhbayar, the book compiles 31 historical decrees and official documents. These documents, previously scattered across global archives in numerous languages – including Medieval Turkish, Ottoman, Russian, Latin, and Italian – offer unparalleled insight into the Golden Horde. The book demonstrates the Golden Horde's strong position in international relations and its unique administrative traditions. It highlights the Horde’s role in the integration of different cultures and languages during its time. Researchers believe the compilation will be invaluable for studies of Mongolian, Turkish, and world history, and provides primary sources for understanding the era’s governance traditions.
