Paul Matthews of Newfoundland experienced a surprising phone call last month after answering to Jax Irwin. Irwin is known for making casual, impromptu calls to people along the east coast of Canada simply to converse. This time, however, Irwin had a notable group with her: Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett and the cast members of an upcoming Netflix series. Matthews was taken by surprise but engaged in conversation with the group. Details of the conversation weren’t released, but the incident highlights a unique and unexpected interaction between a Newfoundland resident and prominent figures in the entertainment industry. The story underscores the unpredictable nature of chance encounters and the accessibility offered by a simple phone call.
