A newly completed 1.7-kilometer road connecting Kilongawima and Mbezi Beach in Dar es Salaam is expected to alleviate heavy traffic on Bagamoyo Road. The 4bn/- project, undertaken by the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), aims to improve transportation for residents of Kinondoni District and neighboring areas. Officials hope the new route will offer an alternative passage, reducing congestion on the traditionally overburdened Bagamoyo Road corridor. This improved connectivity is anticipated to benefit thousands of commuters and ease daily travel challenges. The road’s completion marks a significant development in the city’s infrastructure, addressing a long-standing concern for local residents. This new infrastructure addition promises to facilitate smoother traffic flow and enhance accessibility within the region.
