Construction of a pedestrian bridge over the Tavan Shar intersection in Ulaanbaatar began in April of this year. As of today, foundation work on the 90-meter-long bridge is 39% complete, with the metal structure currently under fabrication. The bridge will feature three entrances and exits, supported by 98 foundation pillars. Authorities anticipate the bridge will alleviate pedestrian crossing difficulties at the busy intersection, where currently crossing the road is challenging. The project aims to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility. Completion and opening to the public are scheduled for July of this year.
