A case has been filed under anti-terrorism laws following the recovery of a significant amount of explosives and IED-making equipment from a New JMB hideout in Savar’s Shyampur. The case names six members of New JMB and an additional six to seven unidentified individuals as suspects. Police have arrested one suspect, Mohammad Arif, alias Imran, aged 26, in connection with the case, while the remaining five named suspects are currently at large. Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saifur Alam confirmed the case on Wednesday night. The raid uncovered materials used for creating improvised explosive devices, raising concerns about potential terror activities. Authorities are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining suspects and uncover the full extent of the group's operations. This discovery highlights ongoing efforts to combat militant groups in the region.
