A new electric SUV, the Lepas E4, has entered the Indonesian market, directly challenging the established Jaecoo J5 EV. The Jaecoo J5 has already achieved 16,000 unit sales since its November 2025 launch. The Lepas E4 boasts a longer range of 500km, exceeding the J5’s range by 100km. This increased range is a key feature intended to attract consumers and potentially overtake the J5 in popularity.
