A 1.5 kilometer road leading to a construction waste recycling plant in Ulaanbaatar’s Khan-Uul district has officially opened. Construction began in 2025 and the new two-lane road features a seven-meter-wide travel lane, sidewalks, lighting, and drainage systems. The road is designed to accommodate heavy vehicles transporting waste to the recycling facility, replacing a former dirt track. The project was completed by Eco Sustainable Road LLC. Future plans, budgeted at 3.7 billion Mongolian Tugrik from the 2026 capital budget, include extending the road further to the landfill area. This improved infrastructure aims to facilitate waste management and reduce wear and tear on vehicles. This new paved road will significantly improve transport efficiency and safety.
