The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted significant cocaine shipments intended for China and Italy. The cocaine was discovered cleverly hidden within a local mortar and the false bottom of a backpack. This interception occurred as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking. Simultaneously, NDLEA operatives arrested a suspected drug dealer in Rivers State and a person believed to be a supplier to bandits in Zamfara State. These operations highlight the agency’s commitment to disrupting drug supply networks across Nigeria. Further investigations are underway to dismantle the criminal organizations involved in these attempts to smuggle narcotics internationally. The NDLEA continues to target both local distribution and international export routes.
