French navigator Julien Poublan dedicated an entire year to tracking waste across the Atlantic Ocean. His environmental project aimed to highlight the growing problem of marine pollution. During his voyage, he successfully removed nearly one ton of debris from the natural environment. In addition to cleaning the waters, he collected approximately thirty samples of sargassum algae. These biological samples were gathered specifically for use by scientific researchers. Through this dual approach, Poublan combined direct action with scientific contribution.
