Nagad, the mobile financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, has entered into a strategic partnership with United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC to broaden the scope of digital financial services. The agreement was signed on Wednesday, September 30th, at a ceremony held at UCB’s corporate headquarters in Gulshan, Dhaka. Mohammad Shaheen Sarwar Bhuiyan, Chief Commercial Officer of Nagad, and Adnan Masud, Deputy Managing Director of UCB, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The collaboration aims to enhance remittance services and expand access to digital financial solutions for a wider audience in Bangladesh. Details of the agreement weren't immediately disclosed, but it signals a commitment from both entities to innovate in the financial technology sector. This partnership is expected to benefit customers by providing more convenient and efficient financial transactions.
