The chair of Mỹ Hạnh Group, Phạm Mỹ Hạnh, is once again facing prosecution after the court requested further investigation into allegations she defrauded investors. Hạnh is accused of fabricating projects centered around growing Ngọc Linh ginseng, promising annual returns as high as 48% to attract investment. The scheme allegedly raised approximately 1.3 trillion đồng (roughly $54 million USD) from over 1,200 investors. Authorities allege Hạnh falsely presented these Ngọc Linh ginseng projects to secure funds. This follows a previous return to court for supplemental investigation. The prosecution continues to build its case against the Mỹ Hạnh Group chair regarding this large-scale investment fraud.
