A representative from Mozambique’s National Hydrocarbons Company (ENH), Titos Nhabomba, highlighted the benefits of natural gas during the MozIndus forum at FACIM 2026. Nhabomba discussed opportunities within Mozambique’s gas value chain, focusing on local mineral and hydrocarbon processing. He specifically noted that the Temane plant produces 30,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) annually. This production is currently supporting various industries within the country, including the food sector, amongst others. The initiative aims to foster domestic economic growth through resource utilization. Nhabomba emphasized the potential for further development and investment in local gas processing capabilities. This development underscores Mozambique’s growing role as a regional energy producer.
