Mozambique’s Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) and the University of Coimbra (UC) in Portugal are strengthening their academic, scientific, and cultural ties. The renewed partnership builds upon a long-standing relationship between the two institutions. Details of the expanded cooperation were announced in Maputo in August. This collaboration aims to foster joint research initiatives and enhance student and faculty exchange programs. Areas of focus will include curriculum development and capacity building at UEM. This agreement reinforces the commitment of both universities to promote higher education and cultural understanding between Mozambique and Portugal. The move aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the development of skilled professionals in Mozambique.
