Morocco’s tourism sector is experiencing significant growth, with a 7% increase in arrivals, a 21% rise in travel revenue, and a 9% jump in overnight stays recorded through May. The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) convened on June 24th in Rabat to discuss strategies for continued expansion. Key initiatives include securing 7.74 million airline seats for the summer season and establishing 52 new international routes. The ONMT is actively diversifying its target markets, focusing on attracting tourists from China, India, and Latin America. These efforts are part of a broader plan to reach 26 million visitors annually by 2030, building on the positive momentum observed in the beginning of 2026. The organization aims to capitalize on current trends and establish Morocco as a leading global tourism destination.
