The Al-Tahaddi Association for Equality and Citizenship has submitted a memorandum to Fatima Zahra Mansouri, Head of Government of Morocco, requesting the integration of women’s issues and equality into the priorities of the government program for the 2027-2031 period. This move coincides with consultations for the formation of the new government following the appointment of the Head of Government under Article 47 of the Constitution, and before the program is presented to Parliament. According to a press release, the association’s demands are based on considering gender equality as a fundamental pillar of development and good governance in Morocco. The association seeks a comprehensive approach to address inequalities faced by women in various fields. This includes economic empowerment, access to education, healthcare, and political participation. The memorandum underscores the importance of incorporating a gender perspective into all government policies and programs. The group hopes their recommendations will be positively received and implemented by the government.
