A group of volunteers from “Volunteer Mongolia” have revitalized a pedestrian underpass at Bagshiin Deed, transforming it into a cultural space. The project, part of the “Cembeeger Ulaanbaatar” campaign, involved fundraising to renovate the underpass, which sees over 4,000 pedestrians daily. Previously marred by graffiti, the underpass's transformation has sparked debate among citizens regarding the role of street art in the city’s modern culture. The volunteers previously cleaned up areas including the Olympic Bridge, the area outside the National Library, and Sukhbaatar Square. The renovation aims to provide a more welcoming and visually appealing environment for commuters. The project highlights the impact of community-led initiatives in improving urban spaces.
