Mongolia is expanding access to traditional medicine education with the introduction of a specialized class at the affiliated high school of the Mongolian State University of Agriculture (MSUA). This initiative aligns with a national plan to develop traditional medicine between 2026-2030, which includes establishing high schools with relevant curricula. A working group was created by the Minister of Education in 2026 to oversee the implementation and monitoring of this plan. Classes are slated to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year, with preparations underway to renovate a dormitory and classrooms at MSUA’s east campus. The new facilities will accommodate 40 students and include six classrooms. This program signals a concerted effort to integrate traditional Mongolian medicine into the formal education system.
