Tuition fees are rising at three major Mongolian universities for the 2026-2027 academic year. The National University of Mongolia (NUM) will charge new first-year students approximately 6,111,000 Mongolian Togrog, an increase from the previous year’s rate. The University of Science and Technology (UST) is increasing fees to 209,000 Togrog per credit, with select in-demand programs costing 218,500 Togrog per credit. The National Medical University of Mongolia (NUMM) tuition will range from 3,520,000 to 6,851,000 Togrog annually, depending on the chosen major. These increases represent a financial burden for students and their families, as education costs continue to rise in Mongolia. Tuition for students in higher levels at NUM remains unchanged, while UST and NUMM have seen increases per credit hour.
