Mongolia’s first female world championship medalist in amateur boxing, M. Nandin-Tsetseg, has announced she will turn professional. The Honored Master of Sport will make her professional debut on September 26th in Baltimore, Maryland. This marks a historic moment as Nandin-Tsetseg becomes the first Mongolian woman to compete in professional boxing. While her opponent remains undisclosed, this fight follows a successful amateur career including eleven national championships and a bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships in New Delhi, India. Most recently, she won the “Golden Gloves of America” tournament in Oklahoma in May. Nandin-Tsetseg is currently training in the United States to prepare for this significant career step.
