Mongolia’s meteorological agency forecasts widespread thunderstorms and heavy rainfall across much of the country over the next five days, from June 29th to July 3rd. The western and eastern regions, as well as northern central provinces, are expected to experience the most significant precipitation beginning June 30th. Mountainous areas including Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentii, along with the eastern Gobi region, will see continued storms through July 1st and 2nd. Wind speeds will generally range from 5-10 meters per second, with gusts preceding the rainfall. Temperatures will vary geographically, with cooler conditions expected in the northern mountains and warmer temperatures in the southern Gobi desert, potentially reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius. Overall, most of the country will experience warming trends on July 1st and 2nd.
