Moldova’s government has approved a new agreement with Romania to build and maintain key transport infrastructure, including a road bridge over the Prut River. The bridge will connect Ungheni on both sides of the river, facilitating easier travel and trade. This project is considered one of the most important in the last 60 years, highlighting strengthened ties between the two nations. Furthermore, the initiative aims to connect with Romania’s A8 "Unirii" (Union) Highway. Construction will begin with the first kilometers of the planned roadway. The new infrastructure is expected to improve regional connectivity and boost economic cooperation. This demonstrates a commitment to collaborative development between Moldova and Romania.
