Bangladesh’s mobile financial service, Nagad, has launched ‘Bangla QR’ and integrated with the National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB) network. This new integration allows Nagad users to make direct payments by scanning Bangla QR codes at approximately 10 lakh merchant locations across the country. The service also facilitates instant fund transfers between bank accounts and other mobile financial service accounts. The launch, announced on Thursday, aims to streamline digital transactions and broaden financial inclusion. Nagad anticipates the new features will significantly enhance convenience for its users and promote a cashless economy. This expansion positions Nagad to compete more effectively within Bangladesh’s rapidly growing digital payment landscape. The move is expected to benefit both consumers and merchants by offering a faster and more accessible payment method.
