A 22-year-old man from Zeist, Netherlands, named Ouadoud Rabbaj, has been missing in Tangier, Morocco for almost a month. Rabbaj, who has a spinal cord injury, requires a catheter, and battles both mental health issues and addiction, went missing on July 19th while on vacation with his parents. He frequently takes short solo walks, but failed to return this time and is unreachable by phone. His family fears he may have been mistaken for a homeless person and relocated by authorities, a common practice in Tangier. Family members have been tirelessly searching the city, visiting hospitals and shelters, and coordinating efforts from both Morocco and the Netherlands, but their mother is reportedly devastated. The family is deeply concerned about Rabbaj’s ability to care for himself, particularly regarding his catheter needs, and are pleading for assistance in locating him. They currently have limited faith in the local police’s progress.
