A bus that fell into the Karnali River in Nepal four days ago remains missing, despite an extensive search operation. Authorities have deployed 176 security personnel, along with divers, drones, and a military helicopter, to locate the vehicle. The search is being significantly hampered by strong currents and the muddy waters resulting from the ongoing monsoon season. Concerns are growing for the passengers’ safety as time passes. The challenging conditions are making it difficult to thoroughly scan the riverbed and locate the wreckage. Search teams are persisting, but the situation remains critical and hopes of finding survivors are dwindling. The incident has prompted calls for improved safety regulations for public transport in the region.
