Two minor earthquakes struck the Vrancea seismic zone in Romania on Sunday morning, according to data from the National Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP). The first quake registered a magnitude of 3.5, while the second measured 2.4 on the Richter scale. Both earthquakes were centered in the Buzău and Vrancea counties. Notably, the second quake occurred at a shallow depth of only 18.8 kilometers. While these tremors were relatively weak, they were felt by some residents in the affected areas. Authorities have not reported any immediate damage or injuries as a result of the seismic activity. The INCDFP continues to monitor the region for further tremors.
