A new report from the Institute of Economic Studies indicates that migrant workers have been a crucial driver of Spain’s economic growth. The study reveals that 75% of Spain’s economic expansion between 2018 and 2025 is attributable to the foreign-born workforce. Furthermore, two out of every three jobs created during this period were generated by migrant labor. The report highlights the significant contribution of this demographic to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and overall economic dynamism. These findings underscore the increasing importance of immigration to Spain’s economic health. The data suggests a strong correlation between the influx of foreign workers and positive economic indicators within the nation.
