A significant new battery storage facility has begun operations in Ostrava, Czech Republic, constructed by TGA Central, a part of TGA Holding. The project represents an investment exceeding 600 million Czech crowns. Comprised of eleven large containers, the facility boasts a power output of 12.5 megawatts and a storage capacity of 33 megawatt-hours. This makes it three times larger than the previous largest energy source operated by ČEZ in Ostrava. The new battery storage aims to enhance energy grid stability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources. It positions Ostrava as a hub for modern energy solutions within the country. The facility will contribute to a more resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure for the region.
