Forensic pathologist Jiří Hladík is one of two who performed the autopsy of Jan Masaryk, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and son of the first Czechoslovak president. Masaryk died under unclear circumstances in March 1948, and his remains were recently exhumed due to new information potentially clarifying the cause of death. The exhumation took place recently and the body was remarkably well-preserved. This allowed for a detailed, several-hour autopsy to be conducted. During the process, Dr. Hladík reportedly questioned how someone could have physically pushed Masaryk, suggesting a possible manner of death being investigated. The goal of the renewed investigation is to finally resolve the long-standing mystery surrounding Masaryk’s demise in Czechoslovakia.
