A man in Dakar, Senegal, has been sentenced to four months in prison after being found guilty of assault and possessing a weapon following a violent altercation with a sex worker. Ibrahima Diallo was accused of stabbing Blessy Ngozy Chicozie multiple times after refusing to pay the agreed-upon fee of 40,000 FCFA for a sexual service. The incident occurred in the Maristes neighborhood, with the dispute escalating into a physical fight where Diallo allegedly used a kitchen knife. Chicozie sustained serious injuries but survived and filed a complaint. Diallo contested the charges, claiming he was the victim of extortion, but the prosecution presented evidence of the recovered weapon. The court ultimately sided with the prosecution, delivering the four-month sentence.
