A significant wildfire broke out in a wooded area within the municipality of Odivelas, Portugal, prompting a large-scale response from emergency services. Authorities deployed 81 firefighters, alongside 25 vehicles and one aerial resource, to combat the blaze. The fire quickly gained attention due to its potential for spread and the scale of the response required. Fortunately, firefighters were able to bring the situation under control and enter the resolution phase within an hour and a half of initial reports. The swift action prevented further escalation and potential damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local authorities. No injuries have been reported at this time.
