Police in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh, have arrested Murad Hossain, the director of Kashiful Ulum Madrasa, following allegations of sexual assault against a ten-year-old student. The student, a hafiz (memorizer of the Quran) student at the madrasa, reported the incident to authorities. Hossain, residing in Atiyattoli village, was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 23rd. He was subsequently presented before a court, which ordered his detention in district jail.
