Dairy farmers in Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County, are benefiting from a significant investment by the County Government. Governor Wavinya Ndeti announced the provision of milk pasteurisation and packaging machines to the Masii Dairy Cooperative. This initiative, funded with Sh10 million, aims to enhance value addition for local farmers and improve their market access. An additional Sh370,000 was also allocated to support the cooperative. The new equipment is expected to significantly boost the productivity and profitability of dairy farming in the region. This support highlights the county government’s commitment to bolstering the agricultural sector and empowering local cooperatives like the Masii Dairy Cooperative.
