Seoul’s transportation authority will begin offering a delivery service for lost items found on the subway, starting in July. The Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (Smaro) announced the new initiative on Monday, aiming to improve convenience for commuters. Previously, individuals had to physically return to the location where the item was found to reclaim it, or visit a central lost and found office. The new service will allow riders to have their belongings shipped directly to their homes for a fee, which will cover shipping costs. Details regarding the exact fee structure and delivery procedures are yet to be announced. This move is expected to significantly ease the process of recovering lost property for Seoul subway users.
