The National Park Service (NPS) partially drained the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Friday to address clogged pipes. These pipes are responsible for supplying water to the iconic monument. The NPS indicated that the issues stem from problems inherited from previous administrations. Refilling the pool allowed for a flushing process intended to clear the blockages. The move aims to restore the Reflecting Pool to its intended appearance and function. No timeframe was given for complete restoration, however officials expressed confidence the flushing would resolve the issue.
