Latvia and the United States have formalized an agreement to collaborate on drone development, signing a document at the Eurosatory 2026 defense exhibition in Paris. The agreement was reached between Latvian State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Airis Rikveilis, and U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Army, Patrick Mason. This partnership signifies growing security cooperation between the two nations. The meeting took place on June 15th amidst the international defense industry event. The U.S. Army’s department was recently renamed by the Trump administration, now being referred to as the Department of War.
