Today marks the final opportunity for the public to pay their respects to King Harald’s coffin at the Chapel Royal in Oslo. The chapel will be open from 10:00 to 19:00, before the funeral service scheduled for Wednesday at 13:00. Since September 1st, the public has been able to file past the coffin. Saturday saw queues of up to seven hours outside the Chapel Royal and Oslo Castle, prompting an extension of opening hours. During the funeral procession, the coffin will be transported from Oslo Castle to Oslo Cathedral, and then to Akershus Fortress, ultimately concluding at the Royal Mausoleum located in the crypt there. This provides a last chance for citizens to bid farewell before the internment.
